CRIME AND PUNISHMENT
By, Joey Loebker Crime and punishment was very harsh in the Middle ages event though there was no set police. The people would catch theivs and punish them. The punishments were very harsh and painfull. These Punishments include.......
-ripping off nails
-the removel of the tongue
-Boot tortur (this is where they put your feet into a thing called a spanish boot and they countinuasly poor boiling water on your feet until your skin burns off and maybe some bone.)
-Wheel Tourture.(You would be placed on a wheel and span around over and over until you hurt extremely bad)
- For some of the more intense crimes you would be hanged.
-Locked up in the stock

Crimes could be commited at any time by any one for any reason but if you get caught you would get tourtured. There were minor tourtures for the little crimes like being put in the stocks. The stocks were a peice of wood with a head hole and two holes for the hands and when the peson put their hand in. When their head and their hands were in the would tighten it and lock it so that the person was stuck. This would happen at the center of town and the citezens would be able to throw fruit at the people while they were stuck. Most of the middle age torture or punishment would be a type of public humliation. Any one could be tortured but they had to have done something wrong.
