WEAPONS OF THE MIDDLE AGES BY: ANDREW O'NEILL

many weapons were used during the middle ages to fight for their kingdom and to protect it.They had over 20 different handheld weapons and over 5 siege weapons. Most of the weapons were either made of steel, wood, bronze, or other kinds of metals.

Used siege weapons too such as catapults and battering ram. Weapons were made all over europe and asia, like in germany, britain, france, japan, and China. They were all used in wars to help protect people and protect their kingdom.
The weapons that they have invented have been innovated and made into different things that we still use today. Like the catapult is like missile launchers that we use today. And some people still use knives and maybe even swords to defend themselves or fight.
They had over 20 handheld weapons, and over 5 siege weapons.
They were mostly made of wood, bronze, or other metal.
They invented one of the first projectile weapons. THE CROSSBOW.
They Japanese used a special kind of sword called the katana which was flexible yet it was very strong.

The battle axe was one of the Europeans most used weapons. It was a metal sharp head on the end of a wooden or metal pole. It was a lot cheaper the swords and a lot easier to get.

The bow and the crossbow were some of the most interesting weapons. They would fire arrows from far away. The crossbow was invented by the Europeans. It was extremely powerful and extremely accurate.

Swords were the most used weapon by all the kingdoms. There were many different kinds like a wooden one for practicing and the metal ones for battle.
The Japanese had the katana and the Europeans had a sword called a claymore.
The Europeans also used siege weapons. Like the battering ram which was a big wooden log attached to chains that would swing into doors to break them down. Europeans also invented the catapult which pull back then swing forward and fling a stone ball into something to break it down.
